Starry Associates Appraised at Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Maturity Level 3 (ML3) for both Development and Services

August 29th, 2018

Annapolis, MD: Starry Associates, Inc. (Starry), a professional consulting and IT services firm, announced that it has successfully been appraised at Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®) Maturity Level 3 (ML3) for both Development and Services. This successful appraisal, conducted by PYXIS Inc., places Starry in a small and select group of U.S. companies – fewer than 100 – that have achieved both ML3 levels. Starry has held an ML3 Development appraisal since 2012.

CMMI is a process improvement and assessment framework which provides organizations the key elements and the bases for effective procedures and processes.  These serve as benchmarks, driving improvements to program and delivery performance. A successful CMMI ML3 appraisal indicates that the organization is performing at the defined level, with company-wide, standard processes that are defined and understood.

Sara Starry, President, said, “This year, Starry is celebrating our 36th year in business. There’s no better way to mark this milestone than by achieving and maintaining certifications like CMMI ML3 for Development and Services, core components of how we operate and demonstrate our commitment to continuous improvement and customer service excellence.”
